Inside’s video clip by Sonia Laura

Here is the rendering of a powerful collaboration I had with the great artist Sonia Laura.
I designed the music and you can also listen to it there on soundcloud.

The result is very impressive.

Here are some words written at the first sight:

I love the mood
scientists are working
strange projects
including humans but very beyond of usual conscious states
I love the part about 3:10
state of consciousness are becoming interesting
maybe, dreams
brain activity is changing
exporing algebra vectorial spaces
strange dreams are unburried
the rabbit, some ghosts
all the history , the past, are becoming clear
like if the everything theory, made by us was only the fact the universe was INSIDE us.
that Hz counter is so nice
OMG that smoke.

my first app on App Store !

Dear followers/friends, I’m so happy.
I designed this application, based on an algorithm I coded initially for Processing (which is JAVA-based)
I translated it and improved it too inside C++ language in order to fit with Open Frameworks framework, and especially with iOS build.
I want to thank a lot Reza who supports his precious MIT licensed ofxUI addon for UI design purposes.

The first post about it is here.

This application is also a new & nice way to test how I could distribute my music to you.
Music alone can often sound a bit sad.
Now, if you grab that app, you’ll have :
- a 13 minutes track of evolving ambient by me as protofuse
- a visuals generator based on my algorithm of flocking particles

I can now use this logo.
Click on the logo and you’ll be driven to Mobile Particles.

I found a new way of expression which can live on mobile devices and be closer from you.
Here is a view of the menu.
Each parameter is tweakable and make the visuals evolving a lot.

I hope you could share it with your friends.

Small teaser of my second iOS app

Those evolving particles remind me birds.
They are all independent and generated in real time.

It will be available soon on App store and for a very very cheap price, you’ll have this app including a 13′ track by me as protofuse

Basically, it is a generative system based on objects instantiate from a global agent class.
That class implement a constructor and an update method which also draws the instance itself.

I still didn’t spoil the UI.
By touching the screen, you can see 7 sliders + 1 for sound volume.
Those 7 sliders provide a way to alter the global particles clouds behaviors, but also the design of each particle.

It is designed for iPhone & iPad (retina or not) & iPod.
It is a nice way to enter into my minimal world.

Some mobile particles

I just finished another (wow) iOS application.
It would be better on iPad, but is totally designed for iPhone / iPod too.

This is an algorithme which generates in real time particules with strange behaviours.
You’ll have some sliders to interact with the algorithm.
I hope you’ll like it.

The nice thing is: A totally new & high quality music loop by me will be included inside the app in order to illustrate on an accoustic way the strange particles cloud atmosphere.

It would be released on app store this afternoon.
It means, considering the long Apple’s process of reviewing, it would be available if everything is fine, around end of march.

Autechre – Gantz Graf

this is a nice visuals to video stuff.
I like the concept but I don’t like so much the visuals.
I love 3D BUT imho, it looks like too glossy, not enough noisy & particles.

I’m working on visuals too and I need more noise, fog, granular things.

A big max5 permanent installation supporting Meditteranean Cinema

Design the Media & I have been targeted & approached about a big Max5 installation project for a permanent exhibition.

I made it!

Now, I can name the place/museum.

The Museum is: Musée de la Buzine – Maison des cinématographies de la Méditerranée

It involves:

  • 24 systems with OS Windows 7 64bits + 1 server with Windows 2008 server.
  • 1 Gigabit Ethernet Network
  • 7 touchscreen
  • 10 video-projectors
  • 20 rfid readers
  • 7 arduino boards with 8 buttons + 8 ultrasonic sensors
  • 2 multichannel (>4) sound system

I designed the whole system, integrating Continue reading »
